Well, I had a very exciting evening last night. Daddy has gone to see some rugby match this weekend so Mummie was at a loose end with all of us. My sisters wanted to have a McDonalds as a treat but Mummie said ony if it was a drive through because she didn't want to smell as if she'd been working there. I was in the front seat of Daddy's car. It is very high off the ground and has a heated seat for my comfort. (The front seat bit is a secret as it is against the rules for me to be in the front seat of Daddy's car). We got to McDonalds. I have never seen anything so beautiful. I could see people eating lots of food through the windows. I was transfixed. A window opened and I could smell food and someone was packing food right in front of me. At this point, I worked out that Mummies open window was at the same height as the McDonalds open window. I cannot say that the thought did not cross my mind but I got a smack when I stood on Mummie to get my head through the window of McDonalds. This might have been one of the best nights of my life had I managed to pull it off. Never mind, I did get some bits and peices in the end and got to lick out the McFlurry cups. I can however empathise with the labrador guide dog in South Wales who has had to go back for re-training. It used to take its owner to McDonalds every day, regardless of where its owner actually wanted to go, and hoover up what everyone else had left behind. Now that is what I call initiative.
The other thing was Crufts. If the American Spaniel that won the Working Dog class last night turned up at Daddys shoot it would be an object of derision. What would it be able to retrieve, a thimble? This is a picture of me doing what a proper gun dog does. And Lulu, although she is not as dynamic as me and prefers to watch.
