I have just been able to avail myself of a swiss roll. It was hanging around in the kitchen and I didn't think that Mummie would notice. Unfortunately it was to be a treat for Grace who has gone to the zoo on a school trip and there was an indescribable display of tears and accusations and recriminations upon the discovery of the few remaining crumbs. Apparently she was to have had a tea party with her friends at the back of the bus and now she will not be able to take part. Well, she certainly will not be as hungry as I am. Daddy's feeding regime is criminal and he wonders why I keep running away! I am having to use ingenuity in my search for food and opportunism which explains the swiss roll.

Mummie is about to take Declan out. Daddy has asked if she wants him to call ahead to A&E. Declan is still being a bit unpredictable and also Damien, or "That brown *******" as Daddy refers to him.He has had an abcess in his foot which has meant hot poultices twice a day and a load of antibiotics. Daddy who is not very fond of horses is "a constant whinger, worse than the children" according to Mummie because a) he has been moaning about the poor condition of his fields because of the horses and rain and b) moaning about how much all of this veterinary care is costing. Mummie has told him to shut up, has hidden the vets bill and told Daddy to order some grass seed if he is so depressed about his fields. Well, problems dealt with I would say. I must admit, I have never seen him get the better of Mummie verbally, my money is on her every time.

This is a very flattering picture of Lulu, taken at Loch Fyne. If you met her you would be taken aback. with by her plainess. She is as plain as a pikestaff. This picture is OK, I suppose.
